days are getting shorter, nights chilly (true, days as well) … yes! we are entering autumn! welcome all!
with the downside of cold weather, autumn opens the way to heartier dishes and markets currently spill over with loads of good produce. so I decided to create a menu that lets you enjoy the sun in the food, calls some summer memories and also opens up your taste buds for the new season.

YES! Believe or not, Encontro dos Sabores celebrates it’s second birthday.
I don’t even wanna try to describe my joy about it in words, I guess I am much better showing it in FOOD 🙂
Let’s celebrate with FLOWERS. Last year’s Flower-Power dinner attracted huge interest and I had to decline a few people, so those who wanted to join but couldn’t grab a seat (hint, hint) and all the others of course, give it try and sign up for August 12th’s FLOWER-POWER 2014. The shopping list for the menu (currently) looks like this:
flour, butter, sunflower
watermelon, radish, geranium
beef, chili, cilantro, orchid
ricotta, butter, cream, sugar, rose
Let me know in the next 3 days if you would like to join and don’t forget to mention any allergies or intolerance, so I can make sure you only eat what is good for you. As usual, the evening starts around 6.30 pm. Price: CHF 75 with & 65 without alcohol. Vegetarians can easily be catered for, but for planning please let me know when signing up if you wish a vegetarian option.

Not really guys, but I am currently travelling too much to be able to prepare for the next supper. Both is nice, I love the Encontro’s and start to miss them but I am having a good time too…Stay tuned, there will be a date announcement soon for July- the next Encontro. And I promise it will be a no-game night, wouldn’t dare to spoil your Worldcup Fever, he?!
